Jim Peck’s Salient Accomplishments:
• Successfully farmed out the Tamar prospect in the extreme deepwater portion of offshore Israel on behalf of an Israeli consortium, resulting in the Tamar-1 well, a sub-salt gas discovery of approximately 9 TCF.
• Conducted integrated regional interpretation and wrote a comprehensive report for sale by TGS-NOPEC of the Eastern Mediterranean, consisting of over 25,000 km 2D seismic data in offshore Israel, Egypt and Lebanon.
• Directly responsible for the discovery of the 100 MMBO Mudi oil field (100 MMBO) in the onshore Tuban Block, East Java.
• Initiated entry into the Yam Tethys Project in offshore Israel, resulting in the 1.2 TCF Mari-B Pliocene gas discovery.
• Complete interpretational and operational responsibility for the planning and execution of extensive seismic and exploratory drilling campaigns over a large region in the Eastern Syrian Desert.

Grant Fergeson’s Salient Accomplishments

•2013-18 –as VP E&P of Mertz Energy generated, sold and drilled numerous shallow and deep prospects in Texas and  Louisiana, generated resource plays in Texas Cretaceous Carbonates and shallow biogenic gas in Williston Basin sandstones. Researched petroleum system in the Caribbean and generated large exploration play.

•2006-2013 – Team Lead with Devon Energy, performed Tite Oil research in Gulf Coast Basin, developed regional temperature maps of all producing formations, Drilled 5 successful Haynesville wells in east Texas including Kardell 1H which IPd at over 30 MMCFGPD, organized 28 horizontal well drilling program, Generated nine prospects in South Central and SE Louisiana, 5 drilled with two discoveries.

•2000-2006 – with EOG  Resources generated numerous prospects in Frio and Vicksburg formations with discoveries in the Frio in Matagorda County, and in the Vicksburg in Jim Wells County, identified trap breaching mechanism in Matagorda County which explained numerous unsuccessful tests and kept EOG from pursuing further.  Lead geoscientist on team which evaluated and purchased Exxon’s Nine Mile Point Field in Aransas Bay, Texas.

•1997-2000 – Principal Geophysicist for Vastar Resources – in acquisitions group, developed screening methods and participated in successful purchase of all of Mobil’s GOM assets. Set up and ran G&G data room to divest ten offshore fields

•1990-1996 – As independent created and obtained funding for program FPC-1 to provide exposure to Gulf Coast prospects, evaluated over 400 prospects, acquired interest in 17, completion rate of 50%. Formed partnership to study 150 salt domes in Texas Gulf Coast resulting in acquisition of rights, and shooting 3D over Esperson Dome in Liberty County Texas, drilled more than 15 successful wells. Same group drilled two successful wildcats in Ulrich Field with rates in excess of 10 MMCFGPD and 500 BOPD.

•1990-92 – Created and successfully funded business plan for Vulcan Exploration which targeted AVO anomalies in the Eocene Yegua Trend, discovered 5 BCF in Boss Gaston Field.

•1984-1990 – Chief Geologist for Venus Oil, planned and executed regional down dip Yegua exploration venture resulting in twenty leads and 4 discoveries including Vidor Ames in Orange County, Texas, still producing with an EUR of of 125 BCFG.
